WORDPRESS DEVELOPER

Responsibilities

• Integrate static HTML/CSS to a WordPress based framework to allow content to be driven from the CMS;

• Configure javascript and other UX content engagement utilities for the design team based on content interaction objectives;

• Lead the testing, debugging and refining websites to produce final, fully QA’d product;

• Integrate websites with social media and third-party tools via APIs;

• Run basic and advanced database administrative scripts via SQL or PHPMyAdmin;

• Incorporate all necessary HTML and CSS into Wordpress themes, templates and additional PHP and HTML pages;

• Work closely with content writers and designers to support the production of highly interactive, engaging websites;

• Manage development workflow and communications with team and clients using cloud-based collaboration tools;

• Design and implement new designs, landing pages, features and functionality;

• Optimize existing online content for design best practices, SEO best practices, and performance;

• Lead the documentation of work, commenting, and proper organization of code so end users and other team members can use and work with individually developed code;

• On demand, provide training and mentorship to youth and partner organizations on Wordpress and web development;

• Work with and assist a team of copywriters, photographers, graphic designer, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists on web content/design related issues;

• Support project staff and trainers in preparing, designing and delivering any training material;

• Submit to Executive Director and Head of Programs Development a monthly report on the status of the web presence, trends and insights on users, using web analytics tools, including but not limited to, Google Analytics;

• Perform any other tasks as requested by supervisor.
