COMMUNICATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Full-time Position | Amman, Jordan.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Communications for Development Officer will handle tasks under two main areas.
Communication Tasks
With the help of the graphic designer and the Executive Director, help draft an Online Presence and Marketing Strategy to ensure maximum outreach of programs and projects;
Draft and execute Social Media and Online Presence Strategies for programs, projects and initiatives that are run, led, or supported by Tech Tribes;
Ensure that the Tech Tribes Social Media and Digital Engagement Platforms provides accurate, comprehensive, creative and up-to-date information on the projects/programs and engage partner organizations to participate in the online community and share resources;
On a monthly basis, make sure the Digital Engagement Platforms (Websites/Mobile Apps/Social Media Platforms) that are updated with audio-visual online resources that can build the capacity of youth and empower them to mobilize effectively;
Collect, compile and help design project news and success stories for publication (Ar/En);
Develop project/initiatives briefs by gathering information and data through research;
On demand, provide training and mentorship to partners on the Communication and Outreach plan;
Help produce training material on youth activism, advocacy, fundraising and online campaigning for Social Good;
Collect information from project partners and produce reports, manuals and publicity materials;
Draft, proofread and copy-write any publicity material for Tech Tribes and its various projects/programs;
Initiate communication ideas and outreach campaigns to promote the image and work of Tech Tribes and its various projects/programs;
Help prepare Tech Tribes’/Program publications for print and where necessary liaise with editors and printers to ensure quality publications;
Work with and assist a team of copywriters, photographers, graphic designer, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists on content/design related issues;
Support project staff and trainers in preparing, designing and delivering any training material and promotional packets;
Submit to Executive Director and Head of Programs Development a monthly report on status and reach of Communication (online/offline), targets reached and major challenges;
Any other tasks as requested by supervisor.
Administrative Tasks
Develop and maintain a detailed weekly schedule that includes administrative tasks related to communication;
Assist in compiling project/ Program reporting (archiving project outreach statistics, training attendance sheets, pictures ... etc);
Follow up with the Executive Director and the Head of Programs Development to track any changes made to the communication workplan and make necessary changes to the online editorial calendar;
Help in organizing logistics for training workshops and training camps as instructed;
Any other tasks as requested by direct supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
A university degree in Digital Marketing, Sociology, Education, Communication or a related field.
3-4 years experience in online/offline communication and strategic messaging.
Creative writer and innovative story-teller.
Experience in performing online presence audits using various Analytics tooks (Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Instagram Analytics, Social Bakers..etc.)
Proven experience in drafting and executing Communication Strategies and setting up ROI benchmarks/ indicators.
Proficient and fluent in English and Arabic languages.
Proficient with various software programs, including MS Office, Adobe Suite and content publishing web-based apps.
Experience working both independently and as an effective member of a team.
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
