This six-month program offers social entrepreneurs and startups a chance to compete for an equity free innovation grant while accessing specialized technical mentorship by top industry leaders and digital solutions design & development support services.

Eligibility Criteria
Selection Process
Selection Round 1
-Applications are accepted on our website in English and Arabic.
-Each application is graded remotely by at least 2 different judges from technology, investment, acceleration, and tech savvy backgrounds.
-Up to 50 semifinalist teams from different tracks are selected for the second round. These teams will have scored the highest average score on their application forms. Tech Tribes reserves the right to modify the number of selected teams.

Selection Round 2
-The selected semi-finalist teams are required to attend virtually the boot camp, round 2 judging process, the final award ceremony and conference.
-The semi-finalist teams are required to pitch virtually and in private in front of a Round 2 jury panel, where they will have 3 minutes to present/pitch, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A.
-The oral presentations should be delivered in English. After the oral presentations , the jury will deliberate and select 10 finalist teams that qualify to the final round of the Holoul Social Impact Incubator.
-The semi-finalist teams are required to pitch virtually and in private in front of a Round 2 jury panel, where they will have 3 minutes to present/pitch, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A.

Final Selection Round
-The finalists teams are required to pitch virtually and in private in front of a Final Round Jury panel where they will have 3 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A.

FAQs
1Can a team member of 1 member only apply to the competition?
To be eligible to apply to the competition, your idea/startup should consist of at least 2 team members, knowing that team member profiles are crucial criteria in evaluating an application.
2Is there an age range for the applicants?
Entrepreneurs from all ages may apply.
3How many teams get to semifinals?
A total of around 70 teams get selected.
4Where does the funding come from?
Tech Tribes funding has various sources. One of the sources is donations from individuals and organizations. The biggest percentage of Tech Tribes’ funds, and what usually covers its overhead, is funds for specific projects from international donor organizations.
The Holoul Social Impact Conference 2019
Holoul Social Innovation Conference 2019: brought 100+ social innovators & entrepreneurs together with development professionals, ICT experts and representatives of the public and private sectors to share experiences and reflect on the social innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Jordan.
This was a chance for the social innovation community to gather and an open floor around sustainability and the synchronisation of efforts. Through specialised workshops by experts from the ICT and design thinking fields, the conference also offered its audience a chance to learn how to budget for, design and launch successful digital solutions that have the potential to scale.
The conference also celebrated innovative Jordanian youth and nonprofits who have turned challenges into opportunities for change, and enhanced livelihoods of their communities. Three solutions were launched; the fruit of Tech Tribes’ Social Innovation Incubator in its second cycle.
