A Project that aspires to engage 40 alumni of U.S. Government Exchange Programs in helping communities around Jordan identify pressing challenges and creatively design scalable solutions.
Lead by Tech Tribes, the six-month project will scout for and train alumni on social innovation, design thinking and creative problem solving techniques. Working in teams, participants will engage with local community organizations and small businesses in an effort to amplify their social impact.
The Project will kick-start with a Social Innovation Bootcamp (2 Days) to upskill participants and introduce them to Tech Tribes’ Social Innovation Model and Approach. It will also introduce participating alumni to a series of tools and frameworks that would help them guarantee the production of innovative solutions on the ground.
After the Camp, Participants will be organized in 5 teams each connected to a local organization or social business. For a period of two months and via four field visits to these local entities, participants will innovate a solution to a previously identified challenge faced by the local community or that specific entity.
Each team will also have the chance to share their plans, experiences, challenges and achievements with Tech Tribes and other teams through attending three Coffee Meetups that gather all participants. Through these meetups, participants will get to network with like-minded innovative individuals and mentors while taking advantage of a supported space for creativity and trial.
Help us improve the lives and circumstances of a specific target group or a community at risk by producing innovative solutions that are able to address socioeconomic, health-related, environmental or organizational issues. APPLY TODAY!
